Computing

Intent

Our computing curriculum aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to become confident, safe and capable digital citizens.  Using the Kapow platform and mapped to the National Curriculum, we teach units that cover computer systems, programming ,creating media, data handling and online safety.

Implementation

 Lessons are clearly sequenced, revisit key concepts and incorporate unplugged and digital activities. Cross-curricular links support meaningful use of technology in other subjects, while online safety is reinforced throughout.

Impact

Pupils can use technology creatively and responsibly, solve problems, think computationally and meet end-of-key-stage expectations in computer science, information technology and digital literacy.
