Geography

Intent

Our Geography curriculum develops children’s understanding of the world through locational knowledge, place knowledge, human and physical processes, and geographical skills, aligned to the National Curriculum.

Implementation

Teaching uses a spiral curriculum to revisit concepts with increasing depth. Units combine enquiry, fieldwork and map skills to build geographical knowledge progressively.

Impact

Pupils can use subject-specific vocabulary, explain key geographical processes and make informed observations about the world around them, demonstrating progression at each key stage.
